In the *Kojiki*, Ōkuninushi is killed by the resentment of his elder brothers, the Yasogami, but is later saved by other deities and guided toward a new path. This work overlays that mythic arc with the struggles of a young person living in modern society—someone who, despite facing hardship, continues to move forward. A short documentary shot by Clément Lefer and set on Awashima Kagawa in Japan where an out-of-time post office welcomes letters that will never be delivered. In the Seto Inland Sea, the abandoned post office of Awashima was transformed by artist Saya Kubota into a sanctuary for undelivered letters, sent to the lost, the dead, or no one at all. At 91, postmaster Katsuhisa Nakata continues to care for these fragments of memory.
