Ben, a trans man with a bright and joyful life and community, agrees to meet his traditional father for coffee after 7 years of estrangement. A middle school science teacher finds herself caught in a delicate situation. Mal just wants this tutoring session to be over so she can get some sleep, but her tutor Lillith has eyes for more than just the math problems. Jade, a black trans woman, navigates the challenges of dysphoria and finds solace in her community. After accidentally standing up someone for a first date, Sage finds herself enamored by a new unexpected love interest. Clara and June navigate a bizarre night together thanks to an unlikely hero: a dead cat named Beans.


Mal and Lilith go from friends to maybe something more in the course of one tutoring session. As Lilith tutors Mal, and subtly flirts, Mal just wants the answers to the homework so she can go to bed, pass the class, and remain eligible to play. Will Lilith build up the courage to confess her true feelings?
