Patrícia, the matriarch of the jaguars, dies and, from the spiritual realm, sees that a tragedy is approaching her grandchildren, Marcela and Rio. After this tragedy, the young jaguars must face adulthood: Rio has to set out and explore new territories, alone. Marcela must become a great hunter and guardian of balance. The Pantanal is growing increasingly dry, the fire is drawing closer, and Forasteiro, a massive male who arrived with the fire, threatens their lives.
