Shakespeare’s Ophelia died by suicide. 300 years later, Elizabeth Siddall, who posed as Ophelia for the famous Pre-Raphaelite painting, also ended her own life. In a positive re-enactment of the painting, this film rewrites Elizabeth’s fate and addresses any women facing such distressing thoughts.
