A young woman makes handmade cards to brighten peoples' day, to her father's disapproval. As he witnesses the impact that her gestures have on strangers, he begins to see the meaning of her work.

A mysterious woman takes a bored, suburban family man for a thrill ride down a desolate country road. Things quickly take a turn when the local Sheriff shows up and begins to question what is really going on.

Ally freaks when she discovers that her ex-boyfriend has unfriended her on Facebook. Why would he do such a thing? They were once the center of each other’s lives and now his unfriending signifies he wants nothing to do with her. Shelby, Ally’s best friend, and Ally decide to track down her ex-boyfriend, to find out why he would do such a thing.

New discoveries, faded memories, and forged partnerships form the connective tissue that comprise this new meeting of works produced by VC’s Armed With a Camera Fellowship for Emerging Artists and UCLA’s Center for Ethnocommunications. By far our most boundary pushing group of films to date, this is a not-to-be-missed annual event. As has been shown in recent years, we encourage one and all to get real acquainted with this year’s crop of filmmakers: some of them may very well return again soon with full-length feature films to the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival.
