In early 2026, SAFF launched its own filmmaking competition, partnering with schools to inspire and nurture a new generation of filmmakers. And this initiative wasn’t limited to Canada. We’re delighted to showcase four short films created by the next generation of talented young filmmakers from across the globe.

The filmmakers chose Father Dan as the protagonist of their film because of his kind heart and gentle spirit. Through his story, they explore how he demonstrates that faith can nurture the spirit, strengthen community and inspire us to uplift others.
