Trailblazers have been working around the world to change some of the norms that no longer serve us. Travel to Cuba and Pakistan for a look at how some trailblazers are making social change happen.

The men in this traditional, conservative village in Pakistan aren’t sure they want young girls playing sports, much less competing in a cricket match far from home. Plus the girls have no equipment, and little money for anything else. But the girls, and their unusual coach, think they can prevail. Mesmerizing, even if you don’t know much about cricket!

WHAT WE LOVE:

I really liked this film; it was very cool and inspiring and gave me some hope for women. I learned from Outswing how much prejudice there is towards girls in Pakistan, even from their own brothers. I found it really interesting to watch their success story and enjoyed how the end of the movie told of their futures. (Student reviewer Ryan Moralevitz, 15)
