“What options do Taiwanese lesbians have for meeting like-minded people and relaxing over a drink and dance? “20 years ago, AJ, who had just returned to Taiwan from San Francisco, started organizing lesbian parties just because of this simple idea. From a few hundred people in the beginning to nearly a thousand people now, she gradually expanded her business to publish Lez’s meeting magazine, establish a brand, and develop cross-border diversity. Along the way, she has accompanied Taiwan’s equal rights leap. LEZS Party has become synonymous with the entertainment culture of lesbians in Taiwan and even Asia. 
This film starts from the perspective of Director AJ, presenting the ultimate party planning process for the 20th anniversary of LEZS in Taiwan, as well as her inner emotions, inspirations and beliefs, for her, every party is a dream come true, providing attendees with a space to breathe and relax, and bringing a lot of strength and emotion to their lives. 
AJ keeps in faith of more and more Taiwanese lesbians have the courage to challenge the system would make the world hear our own voice eventually.

As she prepares the 20th anniversary of LEZS Party, founder AJ reflects on two decades of creating Taiwan’s most iconic lesbian gathering, revealing how one woman’s nightlife vision became a cultural force for visibility and equality.

Mori, a teenager living under the strict expectations of their devout Catholic mother, begins to unravel their sense of self through a series of fragmented memories and inner reflections. Mori is drawn into a symbolic journey that explores the layered and nonlinear process of understanding their transmasculine identity. The film weaves together past and present to show how identity is shaped by accumulated experiences and is culminated in a moment of quiet clarity as Mori sees an idealized reflection of who they truly are.

Joyful, raw, revolutionary: Because of You: A History of Kilawin Kolektibo tells the story of queer Filipnxs who, in the 1990s, against a racist, lesbophobic backdrop, came together for the first time in NYC to create a safe and loving community.
This archival documentary traces the history of Kilawin Kolektibo, a pioneering collective of Filipnxs who came together in NYC in the mid-nineties. Having experienced marginalization in Filipino culture because of their queerness and in mainstream gay culture because of their race, language, and gender, the members of the group sought political empowerment and increased visibility.
Above all, they sought to create a space of friendship and safety for those who found themselves situated between cultures and identities. Kilawin Kolektibo allowed them to transform their experience of oppression into one of joy and growth. As time passed, group dynamics changed with diverging priorities, and friendships frayed, including that of the filmmakers Desireena Almoradie and Barbara Malaran. Having been estranged for 15 years, they find their way back to each other through the making of this film.
Culling from a treasure trove of over a quarter century’s worth of historic documentation that includes footage, photographs, interviews and ephemera, the film tells the inspiring story of members as they found each other, fell in love, and became each other’s lifeblood amidst a society that rejected them. From marching, partying, and protesting, to its oftentimes incestuous sexual politics, the film serves as an exhilarating memorial to the rebellion and nostalgia of the nineties.
