Director Biography - David B Jacobs
A writer/director and horror fanatic from Long Island, New York, David developed a passion for film at a young age, inspired by the works of Hitchcock, Whale, Carpenter, and Lynch. He earned his B.F.A. from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he honed his skills as a writer and director. David's award-winning horror films have screened at various prestigious festivals across the country. His feature screenplay Perchance to Dream placed as a quarterfinalist (top 4%) in Academy Nicholl Fellowship in 2021. A proud member of IATSE, he has ten years of experience in film and TV, working on various productions such as Passing (Spirit Awards for Best Supporting Actress and Best Cinematography), Eyes of My Mother (Spirit Award Nominee for Best Cinematography), and Godfather of Harlem (Primetime Emmy Award) to name a few. He also co-hosts the horror movie podcast Cadaver Dogs.
