Investigative journalist Georgina “George” moves to NYC to work for a Buzzfeed-like media startup, only to discover on arrival that her job’s been downsized due to a company merger. Knowing no one else in the city, except her childhood best friend Trish, George agrees move in with Trish’s city best friend: struggling actress Avery, who just broke up with her girlfriend and also desperately needs help with rent. Despite attempting to live together, they soon begin competing for Trish’s friendship and quickly end up at odds - until the night Trish mysteriously vanishes.

Now these two reluctant roommates - one, a fish out of water, but good at spotting clues and solving puzzles; the other a street smart hustler who knows how to lie and pretend to be other people - are forced to team up and work together to figure out what happened to their shared friend.
