When an estranged daughter packs up her late father’s home, a wind lures her to a mysterious little locked door. As she sorts through his things, the door — like grief — haunts her. Finally, she quiets it with vodka, boxes up his bedroom, and learns he was a closeted gay man with a buried past. In a frantic attempt to be close to him, she layers on his clothes and passes out. She’s awoken by a man at the front door who reveals he was her father’s partner, and her father simply ran out of time to reach out to her. Back inside, the wind howls. When she searches for the key, she finds it inside a drawer of her childhood photos.
