The story follows the internal monologue of an elderly wooden creature as he writes a letter to his childhood friend, Icarus. Through his thoughts and memories, the past unfolds, revealing the events that led to Icarus’s violent departure from the city.


Dimitra Papaefthymiou is a 2D animator, director, scriptwriter, and storyboard artist based in Athens, Greece. She specializes in frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation and enjoys experimenting with diverse visual styles. Her debut short film, The Day You Left Spring, was created during her postgraduate studies at AKTO College and reflects her interest in emotionally resonant, visually expressive storytelling. Dimitra continues to develop original animated works that blend narrative depth with artistic exploration.
