Director Biography - Diana Foronda
Diana Foronda is an award-winning filmmaker based in New York. Throughout her years in the film industry, she worked as a Set PA for several short films, web series, and TV networks, including CBS, HGTV, and CNBC. Diana's films and scripts have been recognized worldwide (including academy-award qualifying) and won 15+ awards. With its successful festival run, her award-winning horror/sci-fi short screenplay, CANDYBYTE, was ranked on the 2023 Coverfly's RED List for Horror Shorts and is available on all publishing sites.
Diana's professional journey is marked by diverse experiences that showcase her versatility and adaptability. She has worked at various film companies, including Pano (formerly NYCWF), Left/Right LLC, and Imagine Entertainment. Additionally, she is a pre-screener for numerous prestigious film festivals across America. Currently, Diana is a co-founder of The Film Nerd Challenges, an independent out-of-pocket weekend film challenge that creates short films during the 48 hours.
She is a proud New Yorker and member of Pano (formerly NYCWF) and Impact/ARRAY Crew. She has trained with Sundance Co//ab, NYU Tisch Film & TV Industry Essentials, Manhattan Edit Workshop, and USDAN Summer Camp for the Arts. The goal was to bring two queer women together through storyline and cinematically as it tells visually by using split screens.
What are the themes and central messages you wanted to convey with your submission?:
#loveislove and from working on this project, it was mainly about two queer women going through their lives and then eventually finding the one.
