Join us for a special screening of Farming While Black, a powerful feature length documentary that sheds light on Black farmers' resilience, history, and the fight for food justice and Black land sovereignty. This exclusive event features a live discussion with film participants, Leah Penniman, Karen Washington, Blain Snipstal, and the film’s director, Mark Decena.

Our goal is to educate and inspire viewers to join our impact campaign: to self organize and screen the film in community with local farmers, land stewards and allies. We hope to ignite discourse that leads to reconnecting to land and the deep afro-indigenous regenerative agricultural heritage that is the orign story of our country.

Moderated by Konda Mason, a social entrepreneur, earth and social justice activist and spiritual teacher. She is the President of Jubilee Justice, Inc a nonprofit working to bring economic equity to BIPOC farmers and ecological sustainability by introducing an innovative way of growing rice, while convening deeply transformational journeys exploring the intersection of Land, Race, Money & Spirit.
