It’s the summer of 1973, and two deaf friends, Steve and Ed, find themselves caught up in a hilarious miscommunication, when Ed desperately needs Steve’s help before a big date. Ed tries repeatedly to make Steve understand, over malfunctioning TTY equipment, while Steve, using broken and outdated body hearing aids, is completely clueless to his buddy’s predicament -- which leads to mounting frustration for Ed, until he finally reaches the breaking point.
