SYNOPSIS:

Taínos is an animated short film that brings to life the ancestral world of the Taíno people, the first inhabitants of the Caribbean. Through a visually immersive narrative, the film explores their origins, spiritual beliefs, social organization, and deep connection with nature. Rooted in archaeological and anthropological research, the story reconstructs elements of Taíno daily life, cosmology, and material culture, offering audiences an accessible yet historically grounded perspective on a civilization that profoundly shaped Caribbean identity. By translating academic knowledge into cinematic language, Taínos serves as both an educational and cultural preservation project, inviting contemporary viewers to rediscover a foundational chapter of pre-Columbian history.
