SYNOPSIS:

Family farms are disappearing, especially those century farms that have been worked by the same family for more than 100 years. The farm I grew up on in Somerset County, Pennsylvania has been in our family since 1866. I know personally the emotional connection to the land and the struggle to keep the farm in the family. Farm families across the country face these same challenges.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Brian Fritz is a professional archaeologist turned filmmaker. Raised on a farm in rural Pennsylvania, Brian developed a deep reverence for the connections between the land and our cultural heritage. Drawing on his extensive experience as an archaeologist and historic preservationist, he brings the past to life through compelling films that inspire audiences to see history as a living, vibrant part of our shared human experience. Brian launched ArchaeologyX in 2024, a film production company based in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
