SYNOPSIS:

The Minoan House is a film about an an human adventure and an archeological experimention. Maia Pomadère, from the French School of Athens, and Sorbonne, brought together a team of specialists to carry out this experiment, not far from the Palace of Malia in Crete, using materials from the Minoan era: timber, mud bricks, ancient tools... Each specialist helped to demonstrate that a new approach to construction could be envisaged, drawing on the past.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

After graduated in History and Archaeology, followed by Film Studies, Hélène Michel Béchet initially chose to express her view of the world through the medium of documentary. Having directed several documentary films, she is currently in the production phase of two short films, one live-action and one animated. She is also writing feature-length films, spanning documentary, live-action and animation.
