    Sam Das is an award winning Asian American screenwriter and director. Born and raised in The Bronx, Sam attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where he studied psychology and film. Later, he got an MFA from The USC School of Cinematic Arts while working as a script reader for Mandalay Films. His script THE CONFECTION CONNECTION earned him top placements on The Hit List and The Young & Hungry List, won the Launch Pad Feature Competition, and landed him a spot in the CAPE New Writers Fellowship. Prior to that Sam was a finalist for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab / Asian-American Fellowship and won awards for Best Screenwriter and Best Director at NYU's First Run Festival. Repped by UTA, Sam has written an original feature film for Sony Pictures and developed projects with MGM, Disney, and Pearl Studio among others. Sam lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter.
