Give as a gift
20 year old kid from Kansas City gets on a bus bound for LA.... It doesn’t go well.
Phil writes a few songs and needs a singer. Ish answers his online post. The result is Ish’s chance at fame and destiny.
Ish aged out of foster care at 18. Was living on the roof of a restaurant off Hollywood Blvd when we met him. Over six years they cut 40 songs - 3 Chart nationally as William Pilgrim and the All Grows Up. Guest artists include Grammy winning Blind Boys of Alabama, Hip-Hop legend Darryl McDaniels (DMC of RunDMC) and Punk giant Exene Cervenka (X).
Over the six years, Phil becomes the mentor and father figure Ish never had. Together they navigate music and the hardest part: when tape stops rolling.
ISHues is about the simple idea of one person helping another: set in a complex world where Phil faces when is it too much? Not enough? And Ish who craves and sometimes sabotages love available to him. All to the best original soundtrack you’re going to hear.
