SYNOPSIS: This preliminary archaeological survey was conducted by Indiana University (IU) Anthropology PhD Candidate Pamela Lara Tufiño in Dos Hermanas Cavern (Los Arados, Dominican Republic) on May 20th, 2025. The goal of this project was to contribute to IU's data on the geographic distribution and material analysis of pre-Columbian ceramics in the Dominican Republic. Pamela is a Research Associate with IU's Center for Underwater Science, and her project was funded by The Explorers Club and IU's School of Public Health.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:Wyatt Fritz is a Research Associate for Indiana University (IU)'s Center for Underwater Science. As the Center's Videographer, he produces short documentaries to make IU's archaeological research accessible to the public. Wyatt is also an Instructor with IU's Academic Diving Program, teaching underwater videography, and the Diving Safety Officer for the Indianapolis Zoo.
