This screening will consist of the six short films listed below. Enjoy!
1. Rock Faced It All (17 minutes)
Rock Faced It All is a short documentary about this Salvadoran-American woman rock climbing her way through life with Parkinson's.
2. 4th Dementia (16 mins)
An absurd, multiverse dramedy about Nellie (Caroline Aaron), a woman with Alzheimer's, who must travel through alternate dimensions in search of her loving husband (Bill Irwin).
3. Along Comes Larry: The Larry Ramos story (29 minutes)
This documentary is about Hawaii's Larry Ramos, the first Asian American to win a Grammy. A child prodigy with the ukulele, Larry would go on to find stardom with two of the most popular groups of the 1960’s, The New Christy Minstrels and The Association
4. Not the Same Clarence (14 minutes)
A father and son, who have had an otherwise loving relationship, must come to terms with the brutality of Alzheimer’s disease.
5, A Matter of Time (26 minutes)
Two older Americans face difficult choices about home, independence, and the next chapter of their lives.
6. Sailing to Salvation (23 minutes)
A group of veterans suffering from PTSD find connection and healing by sailing competitively on the Chesapeake Bay.
