But the crew's journey took a devastating turn that shook the U.S. space program to the core and would forever change their families and all spaces flights that followed.

Featuring extraordinary access to the astronauts' families and a wealth of never-before-seen personal archives, this gripping documentary reveals a story of jeopardy, adventure, tragedy and recovery through the eyes of those who knew the crew best. Ultimately, it’s an inspiring story of the human spirit.
