In 1970s Los Angeles, rebellious queer teen Margaret gets thrown out of yet another foster placement and finds herself in the company of a mysterious social worker who’s tasked with finding her a new home before the break of dawn; a queer, Black kid going to a PWI needs to get a haircut. He finds a Black barbershop but finds himself having to tone down to blend in; Home follows a successful, Black woman who buys a house on her own. Soon, she begins to feel trapped inside, haunted by memories of her ex and taunted by the imaginings of what might have been. When Gio, a Black trans man, calls his best friend Lazette for help burying a body, the two are pulled into an unexpected confrontation with the past. As whispers of family wounds and unresolved trauma echo through the night, Gio must face a surreal encounter with his pre-transitioned self. A young Korean woman attends her girlfriend's funeral and encounters the mother for the first time, who doesn't know her late daughter had a girlfriend; young trans woman Myrsky has run away from her transphobic parents and lives on her grandfather Tapio’s couch. She dreams of moving somewhere far away, but high school graduation isn't going as planned and her mother is causing problems; feeling overwhelmed and isolated on the day of his wedding, Arman, a gay closeted immigrant, has to lie to his family on the phone about his marriage in the U.S. Moments before walking down the aisle, he is uncertain how to move forward.
